Prerequisites: Knowledge and skills necessary to write the final thesis at bachelor’s level. Additional Comment: This course can be selected by the student provided that : 1. The student has contacted the supervisor of the thesis by him/herself before the mobility and the teacher has agreed to supervise the student in writing. 2. The departmental coordinators of the sending and host institutions have been informed about the teacher/student agreement in due time. 3. The project objectives and the content have been consulted and approved by the supervisors at both institutions before the mobility of the student.

Short description: Preparation and editing of a work that meets the requirements of the engineering thesis in the field of safety engineering.
Full description: Detailed analysis of the subject of the thesis. Literature review. Formulating the aim of work. Description of study objects and applied research methods. Analysis of research results. Verification of results in terms of the aim of work. Supplementing missing data. Results description. Results discussion. Formulation of conclusions. Preparation and consultation of the thesis draft. Preparation of the final version of the diploma thesis.
Bibliography: Literature determined on the basis of literature studies and the diploma thesis given by the supervisor.
Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student knows modern methods of identifying and solving engineering problems in the field of security engineering Skills Student is able: 1. to distinguish problems of an engineering nature, formulate the purpose of the work and determine the necessary means to achieve it. 2. to search for relevant data to solve the problem being the subject of work 3. to present a publicly considered problem and take the floor in a discussion on solving problems in the field of security engineering Social competences Student 1. understands that the results of engineering activities depend on the use of the latest methods and proper interpretation of the results obtained 2. is ready to communicate with the environment in order to exchange professional knowledge 3. is aware of the social and environmental effects of the proposed solutions
